Well if everything to do with coursework got pushed into one category, I don't see why this couldn't expand into other states.

Can't hurt discussion can it?

Imagine how massive debates would be. :P

At the moment there are just a few members who are proponents and they easily sustain some huge discussions. There must be many more who would join that category Australia wide.

The debates could lose a lot of their coherency though..

Have you seen debates recently?

I could be talking about Formal dresses and it will turn into certain members trying to logically argue that islam is the source of all evil.

This is so unfair...I'll be overseas :'(

:( If only there was internet overseas! :P
Rolls eyes. You know exactly what I meant...sif I'm going to be VN-ing overseas...or I might pop on just for this :P

Too right you will.

And for the caption to your dp: pain may be mental, but tissue damage is physical.
Ehem. What is pain? Neurons telling your brain that your hurting. Theoretically if you could control your brain, you could control your pain. Even if you had tissue damage as physical, there would be no pain...in theory of course :P

I can clarify that this is most certainly not happening. I said revolution, not devolution! :P

Sweet Nothings is, by far and a mile, the worst administrative decision I have ever made in the history of this website.

That is also a physical process though, is it not?

I was merely pointing out that the primary source of pain originates from some physical damage.

Oh yeah obviously. Lol there would be no pain if there was no physical damage but people misassociate physical damage and pain: they think that oh they've scraped themselves there must pain from THAT....when in-fact its the neurons in your body telling your brain so if you could control your neurons to shut up, you'd feel no pain: basically anesthise yourself :P

Facepalm. I'm no biology/science expert, I made this up: made sense to me anyway :P...it'd be cool to shut your own neurons up for once though...

Russ' post also raises some questions iNerd... I think metal = physical for the context you are describing. Mental (though neurons, etc.) is just a subset of what is physical.

Well, the pain IS from the damage. The neurons are just the middle man. :P

It's like a fire alarm, the alarm is a warning. It was set off only because of the fire. Would you argue here that the alarm is not from the fire?

And woo, revolution. Can't wait for that. :D

Back on topic. Thanks. I can't wait either, a lot of interesting ideas have been put forward so far.
