Study Score Scaling- how do you find your scaled result?

I was wondering when we get to find our scaled study scores for the subjects we're doing this year.
Do you find out if it is scaled up/down and by how much on results day? Or do you have to wait?
Also, HOW would you find this out, on VTAC? Or does it come written in the letter thing on the 14th?
THANKS :)

I presume you would have to wait to find out the scaling of the subjects that you are doing. You only receive the raw score for your subject(s) on Results day (Dec 13). And yes, I think you would find out the scaling of subjects on the VTAC website. Each year, VTAC produce a pdf file showing the scaling for subjects.

It could be a few weeks/days before the scaling of subjects is released - though, I doubt it would be on Results day. I could be totally wrong, that's just my thinking.

i just went looking for the vce results folder

and u actually get a certificate (not sure if i collected it from from school or if they send it to your house...actually taking a closer inspection of the paper im sure they send it to your house because it is creased)...and this would either be sent prob a day or so after ur results i think
but it basically says on one side... ENTER...this certifies that ....... obtained an enter of .... in the year ....
and on the back side of it is your enter subject scores and aggregate which will tell you the scaled scores as well as your current course preferences

i'm not getting an enter this year, so does that mean i'll have to wait until, year 12?
I thought the subjects were scaled against this year's cohort....

yes they are

you'll have to wait until the scaling report comes out next year

or you can ask people here who have same score as u to see how much it scaled

I thought the scaling report only showed you the scaling in intervals of 5, i.e. 50, 45, 40, 35...??

Yeah... so you guesstimate. ;)

Yeah or if you're lucky and you get exactly on the interval, then you can just read off it.  :)

I didn't know this until I had an interview with my careers teacher early this year, but when she logged me onto vtac, I could see the scaled study score of my last year's subjects. So register (which I believe can be done with your VCAA no. and b'day for password) and check to see!

or use the enter calc. the VN one will tell you scaling once it is updated when the scaling report is released.
