A few of the methods teachers at my school told a lot of students to do spesh because it helps methods. Also at my school if you've done the moethds/spesh combo, theres never been a student who hasnt scored 40+ in methods... i think that's the main reason why students do it at my school but i can see a fair amount of them really struggle (some already are with basic circular functions) or drop out because it's too difficult.

That's actually amazing. There's plenty of kids at my school who do the methods and spesh combo in year 12 and would be lucky to get 35 for methods.

Wow...same at my school, but I think that's a result of the fact that it's rare for the good mathematics students to do methods in year 12. Also, teachers strongly encourage year 11s doing 1/2 methods to do Gen A; not to be too mean, but it almost seems as though they know these students need the extra maths to do well.

My teacher said I should aim for 45 raw, so thats what I am going for (although realistically, I will be fairly happy if I got 43+)! (scaled = ~51)

There needs to be a drastic change in the scaling (what the thread about lol) for that to get scaled to over 50..

No it scaled up to 48.8 last year. Please try harder in order to achieve higher hypothetical grades.

Well I'm aiming for a 50...so whatever. Food Tech has given me the confidence to do so. ;)
