It really depends on you. If you want 40, keep doing practice exams until you're getting 90% consistently. Then you're ready!

Does anyone know where we can get chem practice exams from? Because the course has changed, its really hard to get your hands on them without paying ridiculous prices!!

the old unit 4 will have your organic chemistry stuff.

new contents for NMR, IR, DNA, forensics, proteomics, drug synthesis and biofuel will not be found in old papers, so pay 20 or so for the NEAP or checkpoints, they should give you some practice.

I've finished neap and checkpoints and am 1/2 way through that A+ Thompson/Nelson book (which is shite btw).

Today, my teacher said "You need to do at least 15 practice exams!!"... whilst she handed out three exams... THREE!! lady you cannot count.

My plea: Practice exams by the dozen... or sites/bookshops (in melbourne) where i can beg/buy/borrow them!!

the NEAP smartstudy book has three exams in them.

harrass your teachers for exams [Jacaranda Studyon teacher edition has an exam in it as well]
but because of the new study-design, it is very hard to get proper on-topic exams for this year.

to my knowledge, the following are available:

A+ exam [1], NEAP smartstudy [3], STAV [1], TSSM [1], Lisachem [1], NEAP [1], VCAA sample [1], Jacaranda Studyon [1]

Chemology is crap. There are so many mistakes in it and stuff that should belong to next unit.
