Have you guys started learning the spesh and methods courses?

I've done 1/4 of the methods course, and only done a couple of chapters of spesh.

Not going to finish the course in either though, need to start next year as fresh as possible.

For Mao's spesh bound ref: http://vcenotes.com/forum/index.php/topic,16345.0.html
^^It's pretty good

Depends which book... Usually the first chapters are unit 3, but the order of you doing them doesn't matter as there is no mid-year

No need to write bound notes at all. Ended up spended 30 minutes writing 4-pages of bound notes in an A3 notebook; that's it, and I just threw it on the ground when exam writing time started.
2009
~ Methods (Non-CAS) [48 --> 49.4]

2010
~ Spesh [50 --> 51.6]
~ Physics [50 --> 50]
~ Chem [43 --> 46.5]
~ English [46 --> 46.2]
~ UMEP Maths [5.0]

2010 ATAR: 99.90
Aggregate 206.8

Yeah I did the same thing, except I had like 200 pages of notes and I didn't completely ace the exam like you did. ;)

simple advice - in the last minute take ur textbook as a reference for the exam and wen ur in the exam room chuck in on the floor and never open it ( dont know if u'll need but there is defs not much time)... well dats wat i did and it helped. plus saved me heaps of time ;P ... but at the end of the day its up2 the individual

The whole point of making a bound book is the preparation you gain before the actual exam. During it, I'd expect most people wouldn't open it once (if it's their own notes) because they had already learnt everything they had written in their notes. Bringing in the textbook or your own notes...as long as you don't use either of them, the time you save would remain the same. :P
