Hey guys not sure this is in the right section but im just wondering the procedures you will go about when accepting your offer (on the 18th Jan or thereabouts) as im going away on holiday on the 18th. Do you need to show up in person to accept, or can you just send out an email confirming that you will take the offer?

I'm pretty sure it's on the 17th. Anyway, isn't there a "proxy" which you can make, allow someone you know to make choices about yourself?
Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Yeah that's right. The tertiary institution sends you the details. VTAC's role ends once the offers are disseminated. The steps to be taken to accept the offer would vary by institution... Not sure exactly what sorts of things they include.

Don't they send you a package via the mail which contains enrolment details, provided you got an offer on Jan 17th via The Age? I'm not 100% sure but I always imagined it is along the lines of that.

If so you have to go to uni or if your not available that day you have to assign a proxy to fill out forms for you... i don't remember everything i did on enrollment day. im sure i wrote about it on this forum ages ago, so maybe use the search key... but you pretty much go there and i did my subject selection, you can change this in wes or do it in wes...you get your photo taken and your student id card given to you, you have to bring along a few identity documents or drivers licence things with you... umm yeah something like that...you can get course advice as well.
