English
A+ A+ A = 36

Legal
A+ A+ A+ = 40 (I wanna be in the paper so bad)

Methods
B+ A A = 36 (probably overestimating this one a bit, hoping for low cut offs)

Chemistry
A A/A+ A+ = 38-40 (this is the one im most worried about... i desperately want a 40 in chem so I hope the super smart girl in my class will push me up cause im ranked above her)

VCE 2010: Eng 42 | Legal 49 | Chem 37 | MM 34 | Indo SL 33 |

Nope - for me, it's context! :p

Hi EZ! Your estimates are rather conservative, don't you think?

Anyway, here are my predictions:

Physics (2009) - 50
English Language (2009) - 45 raw -> 47
UMEP (seeing as results are out) - 5.5

Chemistry:
Exam 1: Anywhere between 72 and 74/75. It depends on consequentials as I think I only made one error...
Exam 2: Probably 80-81/82, but perhaps a bit lower. Who knows?
SACs: Very high A+

Estimate: I'm not sure. 45+? I'm hoping for a 47 or 48, but I don't think this is realistic. Could easily be below 45...

Methods:
Exam 1: 40/40
Exam 2: Anywhere between 70 and 74. Or even less. Massive bomb out! I say this because I was getting perfects/almost perfects in my trial exams...
SACs: Worst out of any subject by far. Should be an A+, but... very meh. Low A+? Mid A+?
Score: 40? Below 40? 7th subject!

French:
Oral: No clue about the marking standards. I did a really left field detailed study (the emancipation of women during the French revolution and I discussed the paradoxes of the philosophies of the revolution), so hopefully this pays off. Didn't feel like I spoke my best, but I wasn't entirely happy with my DELF oral and I scored 22/25 on Alliance Francaise standards (which are tougher than VCE by farrrrrrrrrrr)... so it honestly could be anything.
Written: I was pressed for time. Anticipating a mark drop of 2-5 marks, but once again, it could be anything. Could be 10, for all I know.
SACs: High A+
Score: Once again, it could be ANYTHING. I'm desperately hoping for a 42, but that's super super difficult. I need to get real.

English:
Exam: 10, 9 (maybe 10 if they're really really really lenient, or even an 8 ><), 9-10. Although the 10 could also be a 9...
SACs: High A+
Score: Hopefully 48+, but say 45 seeing that's the same as my English Language score. If it's below 47 it won't count in my top 4... I think.

But yes, I really wouldn't be surprised if I got a lot lower for most of my subjects. I have a tendency to overestimate. I'm trying to be optimistic at present... as I felt demoralised after exams.

Bio '09
A+,A+,A+  43

Chem
B+, A, B+   33 ish

Methods

B, A(hopefully high), A(hopefully high)   35

French

A+,A+, A-A+    37-41  would kill for a 40 but it will most likely be 38

English Language

A+, A+, A-A+?(was confident now worried)    hoping for 40+

ATAR looks like 95-97 which i'd be really happy with

appianway those methods scores will surely get you somewhere around mid 40s... if not then I really have no chance at getting a 40 :P

The best case scenario will :P The best case is presuming lenient marking and being optimistic. Verryyyyy optimistic. And also veryyyyyy unlikely. My SACs aren't fantastic though, and my exam two could really be anything. The problem with all of the VCE subjects is that I can't judge how I did, so I'm trying to be super optimistic so that I don't spend today and tomorrow stressing out.

I love these threads since we can compare on monday o-o i'm so scared for overestimating, especially for englang/pe since i think i'm too hopeful there.. yay for optimism

Pretty sure i will get 5.0 in MUEP and 45 in Further (so disappointing)
Aiming for Physical ed: 48+ and Englang (got prize in the end), hoping to break into 40s, but not sure.
Methods 38+ (meant to be my 7th)
Chemistry=so bad, not even gonna estimate..

^Actually, downgrade those expectations/hopes by several points each...

Given that last year for methods it was roughly 11 marks dropped for 42, I would say your 6-10 marks dropped would be 43-46 ;)

Thanks for the response. =)

Also, appianway, for your methods score...I can only hope that you're wrong in your prediction (I'd have thought higher end would have been 45-46 at least and lower end still easily over 40).

Just out of curiousity, appianway, what school do you go to?
My school does the French Revolution for the oral every year, so, just wondering. :)
