I thought SACs were combined into one GA (General Assessment). It depends on the subject then... for Accounting, Unit 3/4 SACs is just GA 2. =\

For the maths, GA1 = SACs, GA2 = exam 1, GA3 = exam 2
For any subject with midyears, GA1 = exam 1, GA2 = SACs, GA3 = exam 2
For every other subject with 1 exam and 2 SAC grades, GA1/2 = SACs, GA3 = exam

yr 11s wont get scaled results, but you can compare with yr 12s to figure out yours

This is confusing me (a bit)! I'm in Year 11... it's key to my lonnnnng question!

If I get say 35 raw for Accounting, I know that I need to compare with a Year 12 doing Accounting as well to get the scaling (i.e. _avO ... only example I could think of!), but if _avO gets 40 raw for Accounting (all in theory here) ... is the scaling still applicable?

If people get what I mean. LOL.

In short, do you need to compare with someone in Year 12 who got the same raw score as you, to work the scaling out? xD

I think I'm overcomplicating things... anyone get what I just said or make sense of it? xD

LOLwut.

i think its easier if you compare with someone who has a similar or the same raw score

You get 2010 scaling for your accounting Score.
2011 scaling for your subjects next year.

Hopefully the exact opposite with those SS predictions ;), the scaling report comes out tomorrow (it shows the scaling in 5's) so that is a clear indicator of the scaling, if not then someone else on the forum will have the same SS as you and can tell you.

Also depending what your SS is, the scaling can increase or decrease marginally more or less (eg Accounting a 35 raw = 35 scaled and a 40 raw = 41 scaled)

Cheers for the help guys! =)

@_avO (guru) ... going off 2009's Scaling Report, I'd be correct in saying that if you got above 35 (i.e. 36 onwards) it scales up by 1?..

EDIT.
