It could, but nothing can change now. The GAT has already been used to adjust your ATAR. According to VCAA the GAT can only upscale your ATAR.

I'm curious what I'll get for the GAT. I screwed it up last year really badly. Be interesting to see this year.

Indirectly, yes. The gat can directly influence your english grade, and it can be used as a guide to make an indicitive study score for a subject that you missed an exam for (it can be used in some other instances too but rarely is). So, it can change study scores which change the ATAR.

vtac sent me my certificate with scaled score and overall (so mine didnt even have further as it was my 7th)
and i also got my GAT results with all my scores for subjects from VCAA

glad to see i broke into the 40s for humanities and for written communication.. lawl wtf

Holy fuck. What the hell is with all these sudden random good english results. I was never good at english!!!

2010 GAT SCORES:
Written Comm 45
Maths/Science 35
Humanities/Arts 33

As compared to last years which is pretty different..

2009 GAT SCORES:
Written Comm 31
Maths/Science 38
Humanities/Arts 37
