Yeah... that whole 'do as I say, not as I do' thing applies to my advice.

I seriously did about 6 practice exams all year ...I think I drove applexy insane with my nonchalance.

I think most of his mid-year ones were out of books, which he's now undoubtedly scribbled answers all over now.
He'll be in the same boat as me, plenty of resources to share for end of year exam but almost nothing for mid-years.

Erm... for anyone that doesn't use the cambridge textbook, these may come in handy as additional references:

http://rapidshare.com/files/121321006/cambridge_units_3_4_textbook.pdf.html
http://rapidshare.com/files/121320341/Templates.zip.html

The first link is the textbook, and the second is a zipped folder containing the templates for the chapter reviews for chapters 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
I think the chapter reviews for this textbook emulate exam-style questions quite well (which may help to explain why I did so few practice exams).
While I don't have the answer pdfs any more, there are answers to a lot of the numerical questions on the last page of the textbook (and you can always ask ppl on this forum).
Unfortunately I've lost the templates for 1, 2, 5, and 10 - 12, so please don't ask me for them. I've hunted through all my back-up discs and everything to try to find them for you guys, but they've remained ever-elusive.

I'll post this in that other thread as well...

I've still got about 5 practice exams to complete (did my 20th today) and completing review questions from the lectures I've been to and the NEAP book. I have to say, I am getting sick of writing why a stock loss may have occurred :P

I'm making sure I'm taking a break everyone 1.5 hours or so, just to make sure I don't burn out before the exam.

20 exams??? wow someone is one his way to a 50!
are there even that many avaliable? if so, where can i get them?

Nice prediction  8-)  ;)

LOL YEAH. I did 33 exams for accounting. :P (in total)

They were mainly from NEAP, CSE (IARTV) and adjusted VCAA ones. I also did some from books like A+ and another (i forgot :( ) and I still got a 37 because i bombed out in exams loool.

Ask you teacher for adjusted VCAA ones and CSE and I'm sure he/she will give it to you. :)

Firstly what is a stickied thread? :P Like what is the purpose of one?

Advice - read the theory a few times, make sure you memorise key definitions like for assets, expenses, liabilities, etc. Do plenty of practice questions from both your book and from other resources like Neap, Checkpoints etc. Practice does help heaps for Accounting. Pay lots of attention to answering theory questions. You don't want to lose too many marks here. That also comes through practice and observing what most answers require. Practice exams will achieve this.

Stickied threads are kept at the top of the list of topics, because they've been deemed important or helpful enough.
It does not matter when stickied threads were last posted in - they will always be kept at the top.
