I think that applies if you're a subject/section moderator - i.e. if you're the English moderator, then the green stars will appear just within the English Board and no where else besides that. Presumably werdna's a global mod or something - hence, the green stars appear in any board he types in. That's my take on it.

nah just a subforum mod, the green stars SHOULD only show in the respective subforum, maybe just the settings here are different.
