2011 Legal Results Thread

Going off that from this year (2010) and from what people have suggested, I decided to have a "Results Thread". It seemed popular with Legal students this year, so I decided to have one for next year, 2011.

Don't feel obliged to do this if you don't want to, I can just remove your name from the list. This will only run for Unit 3 and if all goes well and people like the idea, then it can be expanded to Unit 4 as well. Having said this:

... it's a good idea, though I don't want other people (myself included) to feel embarrassed/disheartened if they don't do well on a SAC or something.

I mean, it also depends on the school - some schools give out easier SACs, while other schools give harder ones - it wouldn't be a true indication of how everyone's going in comparison to one another, due to the level of difficulty of SACs. I just thought I'd mention that, though I don't have any objections to it.

But for all intensive purposes, we'll see how it goes. I'm still a bit skeptical to the idea, though I'm willing to give it a shot. =D

Feel free to join the ladder any time, just post up your mean SAC percentage and your class rank. If you want, you can post up your Unit 3 results too.

I'm also assuming everyone does 3 SACs for Unit 3, correct me if I'm wrong. Feel free to post feedback/comments and so on, since everyone's first SAC is still ages away. I'd also like to acknowledge chrisjb, if this somehow becomes a hit. xD

First SAC on Friday, but not the whole of SAC 1. It's SAC 1A. Testing bit by bit for a deeper understanding. Will post results of SAC1 when the second version of it is completed. Going for 95-100%; should have it.

Booyeah! 20/20 for the first part of the AOS 1 SAC! My teacher is epic - she said that she marked mine first so that she could gauge everyone else's SACs.

Shall do. I presume "overall Unit 3 score" would be the average of all the SACs. Once Unit 3 is done, I'll do the same for Unit 4.

legal SAC on thursday, is it only my school that's decided to split the first outcome into two SACs?
Our first SAC is a ten-marker and second SAC is a 15 mark..
Do you guys type your in-class notes? It'd be helpful to see how other teachers go about it

My first Legal Studies SAC is next Monday; I had a practice SAC today. My teacher gives us the option of typing or hand-writing our notes; doesn't matter to him. He does regular checks to make sure we're up-to-date with our AOS notes. Generally, he'll go through the information - explain etc, and we'll make summary points. Personally, I hand-write my notes in class then I'll type them up later.

Ohh, I've only typed up notes for the first chapter of my textbook - "Making and Breaking the Law". I got slack typing them. I don't know if it will be of any use to you, but I'll upload it anyway. Sorrryy I can't be of further help.  =\ Anyhow good luck for Thursday.
