Yeah, the uni gives each host a list of jaffies and we call 'em all up and tell them where to meet us. There's no requirement to stay with your group, though, so a lot of hosts tend to see who can collect the most jaffies.

You will be sent a mail entailing what seminars or lectures you want to go to during O-Week and also the instructions to determining what group you'll be in.
There are lectures and seminars during O-Week? Silly uni, O-Week isn't for lectures!
Info lectures are the biggest lot of rot ever. They're all just a combination of talking up the prestige of the uni and rehashing bits and pieces of the subject's handbook page. I don't recall ever learning anything even remotely relevant to any of my subjects or my course during an info session. No mention of how many hours a week, format of assessments, subject content, etc at all.
