In brutal honesty, do you think these scores below will yield a SS of 39 - 40 for physics?

Exam 1: 84.5/90
SACs: mid-low A+ (our cohort performed much better in the exams than in our SACs)
Exam 2: a mid-low A+

Depends on the difficulty of the end of year exam. If its hard, then you will probably have a good chance of getting 40.

The difficulty of the exam is irrelevant if he indeed does get an A+, because that A+ mark is adjusted depending on how the state scores (which is dependand on difficulty). If you get a mid A+ in a difficult exam it is exactly the same as getting a mid A+ in an easy exam.

Not really, because I know someone posted some sample SS calculations from the VCAA website where they shed some light on how it's done and they operated on 'standard scores' which were essentially your raw marks transformed into a number dependant on the standard deviation and mean. In a difficult exam the mean would be lower and standard deviation would be less, so say you got a low A+ in an easy exam and followed it up with a mid A+ in a hard exam you technically would be better off than getting a mid A+ in an easy exam and following it up with a low A+ in a hard exam. I think.

I don't see why not. My sister had 2 A's (not sure if they were low, mid or high) and an A+ and managed a 38 for Physics.
Do you and other guys think that:
Exam 1- A (mid)
SACs - A (mid)
Exam 2 -A (mid)
would give me a raw score of 37-38 in physics?

can someone tell me what study score i'd get in
business - i got 90 in semester 1 and 85 in semester 2 and aiming for an A+ in the exam
accounting - averaging A, midyear; B and hopefully A in exam
methods - not doing all that great but i think i'm kinda passing. what would i need on the exam to get a 32?

Methods - Well if your sacs are that bad, maybe mid A's on both.

P.E
Unit 3 Sacs: A+ 98/100
Unit 4 Sacs: A+ (not sure the actual score yet, but probs less than unit 3)
Exam: A

Further
Sacs: A+ 95/100
Exam 1: A+
Exam 2: A

Also just curious, what is the lowest study score you can get? Does it go down to 0 or is it just below 10 or something?
Can someone answer this please? Thanks;)

can i get mid 40's in business?
oh and i heard that if you get an A+ on the exam it'll boost your sac marks up and end up with a better study score. is that true?
