Your membergroup doesn't exist on the National Forum. So yeah. If I change your membergroup on there, it will change on here as well. So that is a problem. We can either make it so that everyone can have different membergroups on different forums, and changing it won't update across all forums, or we can change the forum permissions themselves to allow members with no primary membergroup, or we can create all the necessary membergroups on all the forums. Or we can keep everyone's primary membergroup as admin/moderator/Victorian/New South Welsh/etc, and have sub-membergroups... Though, honestly, I'm not even sure that's possible, and I don't have time to look into it at the moment. We'll figure something out.

That one was my fault. Not sure what you're supposed to be set to. *glares at Nina*

STOP GLARING AT ME *cries*

Burberry is the essays subforum mod...

Would it work if we just create the respective modgroups in the other forums so that they are e.g. "Vic Maths Mod" everywhere or something?

edit: looks like people are having trouble with the unread topics feature in the national forum too... maybe we should just scrap this sync idea, it seems to be creating more problems than it is solving >_<

Stop blaming the sync and giving up so easily! :p And I'll stop glaring. <3 Unread topics shouldn't have been affected.. Wait, what do you mean? Anyway, here is a list I've compiled of things that the sync mod has control over:

Name
Post Count
Primary Membergroup
Instant Messages
Unread PMs
Buddy List
Password
Email Address
Personal Text
Gender
Birthdate
[Random insignificant profile things]

User Title

Also Nina, though I have full access to water cooler (as do all normal VN members, it appears... just not the greenies in here), when I click on recent unread topics or replies to posts... it always comes up with nothing... no new replies or unread posts since last visit. However, I can see, just flicking through the threads, that this is not true.

What is a buddy list???

Is there maybe some way to not synchronise membergroups?

Also, hello, I'm an arts student, giving up is in my blood.

The solution is obviously to promote us further until the problem goes away!

Yeah. I listed that previously as one of the options [in my nearly-coherent rambling].

Well, I'll work on fixing it so that different membergroups can exist on different forums. However, the people whom have special membergroups that don't exist on the national, or other, forums, and have subsequently lost all their privileges, will need to have their membergroup changed appropriately... Because I didn't realize that was the case. However, we'll have to wait until I'm done fixing this to fix them. Yes.

Okay, you can now change membergroups per forum. It seems that my coding worked on the very first attempt, which worries me a little.
