The paper is published that evening, and will be distributed to certain newsagencies (they havent been confirmed yet as I work at one haha)

if you live close to the city, chances are you will get it before you can get it online

Its just like the 40+, but instead it has the way you presented, just pages upon pages of kids names, vtac course code and then a few pages showing what the codes correspond to

I don't know too much about this either.

But I think Jan 17th is the day offers can be viewed online from 7.30pm. I need clarification.

It refers to 13th January here,
and in the list of Key Dates for VTAC it lists 17th January 7:30 pm

does this mean i can find out in the newspaper 13th January?! or just earlier than 7:30pm on the 17th like Luke said?

6.30pm on the herald sun website, which is BEFORE vtac

But if you go to Fed Square you will get it earlier than this

Typo I guess.  In previous years, it's always been on a Monday but I would go with the 17th.

I think about 5.30ish, but definitely before any other place, even online

Excellent. That's much better than 7:30!

So to summarise;

17th January:

~5.30pm Fed Square
6.30pm Herald Sun website
7.30pm VTAC website

Somewhere in between Fed Square and HS website, papers will arrive at selected newsagencies (who are yet to be confirmed, as we've had no word about it at all about signing up to be a selected agent)

2011: English [44]   |   Chemistry [45]  |   Methods [44]   |   Specialist [42]   |   MUEP Chemistry [5.0]   |   ATAR: 99.60
UMAT: 69 | 56 | 82 | = [69 / 98th Percentile]
2012: MBBS I @ Monash

I remember last year that the "selected newsagents" were published on the Herald Sun's website a few days before Round 1 offers.
