(GPA1 + 2GPA2 + 3GPA3) / 6

Where GPA1 is your first year GPA etc. That said, they're reviewing it for this year onwards.

I know a few people who wouldn't mind if the health sciences used the "University of Melbourne method" for calculating GPA for the purpose of graduate entry!
2008: Mathematical Methods (49)
2009: English (50), Specialist Mathematics (47), Chemistry (49), Physics (49), Latin (44)

eh? What method would that be?

The GPA calculation isn't exactly from UoM, it's from ACER because they're the ones organising admission into postgrad medicine. UoM just accept it as valid.

Read Section 4 - some people were telling me this is how the Uni calculates but I confirmed with Med department that health sciences use the method as prescribed by ACER.

reviewing for this year, meaning (GPA1 + 2GPA2 + 3GPA3) / 6 may change this year? When do we find out the new formula?

Wait so like, GPA1 = average in numerical percentage form?
2009 ENTER: 99.05
2014: BSci Hons (Microbiology/Immunology) at UoM
2015+: PhD (Immunology) at UoM

Nope, It follows this:

H1 = 7
H2A = 6.5
H2B = 6
H3 = 5.5
P = 4.5
N = 0

So depending what grade your subjects fall under that year, you'd get those corresponding numbers and do an average of them with 7 being the maximum GPA.
2013-2016 || Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), University of Melbourne
2010-2012 || Bachelor of Science (Human Structure and Function Major), University of Melbourne
2009 VCE ENTER: 95.00 || English, Mathematical Methods (CAS), Specialist Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry & Vietnamese

Any new calculation method will be announced by ACER when the universities make a decision - you just have to wait.

Peedles, would human physiology and integrative human physiology give the same effect on requisite subjects?
