You still have a lot of time ahead of you. There are many people who got great scores without doing so much work in the holidays-just take it as easy preparation for the big year.
Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.
-Martin Niemoller, a german pastor

..... I just did my holiday homework which was the bare minimum, no essay writing at all/going ahead and learning year 12 concepts. It's too early to tell. Similarly, sometimes starting now can make you burn out later... Don't feel all hope is lost O_O

.
Yeah this is exactly what i did, i was so slack during those holidays haha
Plus u want to enjoy this holiday as much as u can before the real shit goes down....

I only did English in the summer holidays last year and say a day of Legal Studies, PE and Business Management. It's really not necessary if you're prepared to work hard for the whole year.

At this point of last year, I had not read any of my textbooks or novels...

I spent most of my time with mates doing things I love (Mountain biking and drinking beer!) as I knew I wouldn't have that much spare time for quite a while.

You have plenty of time, de-stress yourself now and start the year fresh!
VCE: Biology 42 (43.23)|Chemistry 42 (45.88)|English 43 (42.87)|Physics 45 (47.07)| Maths methods 40 (45.14)|Specialist maths 34 (41.70)

ATAR: 98.65

Found this: http://vcetuition.com.au/advise_for_vce_2011

In particular is:
Quote
(7) Do your holiday homework

It is recommended that you do your holiday homework in the holidays ? not the night before it is due! Doing it too early may lead you to forget the concepts, however leaving it too late may cause you to become stressed and unprepared. A good time to do your holiday homework is mid/late January, therefore the concepts are relatively fresh in your mind and you are able to apply it when VCE begins.

Of course in the event of a student struggling with a particular VCE subject, it is recommended that you find a tutor that is able to “re-teach” concepts from year 11 and thereby clearing any issues before they grow in year 12. Another suggestion is self learning year 11, this is also possible to do however often self learning is much more tedious and slower. A true professional tutor is able to guide you through the theory at a much quicker rate, and also possesses the ability to eliminate unnecessary knowledge!
2010 - Further Maths; Literature
2011 - Specialist Maths; Mathematical Methods CAS; Japanese Second Language; Chemistry; Biology
2012 - Science/Law @Monash Clayton
