Yeaaaah but the whole point of being the VN Dux is that you're a regular contributor to the forums. Hence, Appianway is the true Dux of 2010.

It seems like many MHS boys are doing uni subs this year, I already know two who are doing them, one who may be who tea.towel is talking about. o_O

That would probably be because they all dropped physics and then went to uni bio/chem. A few from my class alone (we had one of the worst teaching years in a decade) dropped physics to do a uni sub.

I reckon that is harder than being dux of .. anything :P

+1, on the day results came out, I searched the 50s section and he was there.

We should make another vn dux poll towards the end of the year. That way it gives a chance for people to contribute/post more so we can see if they are a potential dux.

Yep, or even a something related to time active, considering the Dux should probably be around helping for at least half the year, not just joining at exam times like a lot of people do.

Agreed. Or the 99.95ers that join AFTER results and try to claim the VN Dux title.

So many 99.95ers joined up after results with some posts about their result and tutoring ads and whatnot.

Whilst it is fine, definitely should not be labelled as the "dux" of VN.

why do you need to post to be a vn dux.

you can use this forum for all its good resources without having to poast heaps/


i don't see why a person with minimal posts cannot be counted as a legitimate dux.

IMO they are still 'dux' but i dont think that they can be called the true dux compared to someone who has contributed to the community - as this is one of the purposes of VN

I don't think there's anything wrong with that particularly and I'm all for people just leeching, but I don't see why someone would want to be recognised as a dux in a community where they're not known anyway. Don't see what they have to gain from that at all.
