Electives in another faculty?

Hey guys,

So, I've been accepted into Bachelor of Arts at Monash Clayton (missed out on Law, but oh well!). As part of the course structure, students have eight electives in which they can enrol in other subjects across the university. I'm a little stumped as to how this works. I'd love to study Economics as a major (using up all eight units), but am unsure as to how to enrol. Do I need to get the BusEco's permission before I enrol, or will I be able to just do this through WES?

Congrats on your offer. I am a current arts student at Monash and attempted to enrol in some BusEco units (in management) however after contacting the BusEco faculty they said that i couldnt enrol in them and had to wait til week 2 of the semester to see if there are any places in the units. This is due to their students getting preference in BusEco units before students from other faculties can pick up electives. Best thing to do its call up the BusEco faculty and check or check on enrollment day as it may have changed but i highly doubt it

Out of interest, was there space for you when you tried?

There was no space and i tried a couple of weeks ago. Also last semester the wouldnt let me into a BusEco subject so this will be the end for me and Monash as they have annoyed me so much due to this
