ok it magically started working for me after I clicked random buttons on the portal lolz.

then clicked Enrol in a new University of Melbourne course

The portal is the buggiest piece of software you'll ever encounter, if it doesn't work just keep trying

I just spoke to IT at UoM, and the guy said the new username and password will be added to the system overnight..

i spoke to them as well, they said it takes about 24 hours (overnight) eeek.

I remember this time last year when I was so excited about going to uni.

Anyway this isn't really the place to ask but does anyone know when you're allowed to create your timetable?  Is it Feb 1 because the portal said 4 weeks before we go back.

Yeah, you enrol in subjects byJanuary 31 and then after January 31 sign up for classes
