UoM Username and Password Problem.

Just a heads up to anyone trying to enrol.

If you've created your username and password, but can't login to enrol, you'll need to wait till tomorrow before you can login - usernames and passwords are added overnight. I just spoke to UoM's IT department, and this is what they told me.

Edit: They also told Vexx it takes about 24 hours.

Finally started working for me I guess it just randomly starts working at different times for people.

Enrolling already? Don't we have to wait for the letter and enrolment package?

Yep, enrolment just worked for me through the portal too (after a few tries).

Many of us received our enrolment packages today.

Yeah, I've completed all of my enrolment. I think I'll leave the subject enrolment to do later, even though I know what I want to do. I don't think Academic Advice Day is going to change my mind too much.

Okay, so for the email address section.

Once enrolled in a University of Melbourne course, the University will only ever email you at your University account.
If you are emailing the University, we require that you do so from your University account.
If you need to update the email addresses listed below, you will need to call your Contact Centre.
There are currently no email addresses recorded for you.

How do we add an email address? Or do we have to make one through the Melb Uni site?

Make one. You can then set it to forward map to another address if you want

it's only relevant for graduate research students I believe

You have to be working at the uni to have a Themis. That's where you record hours and get paid
