Ideal number of VCE subjects in Year 12?

I'm doing two in year 11, and was planning on four in year 12, but I think I might be stepping that up to five haha. I just don't want to drop anything!
But at my school, Year 11 is generally far more full on than Year 12 because I'm doing six 1/2s on top of my 3/4, and then it's compulsory up to (including) Year 11 to do two extracurricular activities.

My old school let us do 2 in year 10, 2 in year 11, 2 in year 12 if we wanted. (provided you were in the accelerated program)

Wow really? Everyone in my area thinks my school is full on because we can do Unit 1 Sociology in year 9, but it's spread over a year so it's not at all hard anyway.

I reckon 2 in Year 11 and 4 in Year 12 would be great. MHS does not allow it (apart from external languages I think)

I thought it was okay.. that said, I did do spesh+chem+physics+uni maths (and literature+english) so my workload may be lower than people who do history/languages etc.

Iunno, I think it varies person to person - I'm doing 5 + enhancement atm, and I'm not finding it too strenuous yet.

same here, I used to get "omg your workload is going to crush you" but to be honest I find my enhancement subject less of a workload + stress than VCE. I also treat it as "tution" for VCE Japanese as well and use it as reinforcement so it is a benefit for me

Yeah, I would put in probably 1/2 (at most) the amount of work into my Enhancement than I would to my other subjects...

Five did the trick for me with no 3/4s in year 11.

My school does from year 10 11 12, 0 2 5. Though if you did unit 1 bio in year 9, then sometimes 1 2 5. I managed to convince them to let me do 3 4+Enhancement.
