Hi guys,

for those of you who have been through Maths 3/4 in the past years or are currently doing it, how did/will you prepare for your first SAC? I know that mine is soon after school starts and includes Chapter 1,2, and 3 from the Cambridge textbook. I have done all the three chapters just to make sure I don't stress out if I can't finish them on time during school time. Do you think the questions would be similar to the ones in the textbook or will they be significantly different? Are there any extra materials I could refer to, or any extra practise? I stress quite a bit, so any advice is appreciated :)

Thanks so much !!

I think that your SACs can be in different formats. For example notmal tests (exercise book questions), application task or tests that have exam style questions. I would ask your teacher what kind of SAC it is and how long it goes for.
There are lots of sacs on one of the stickied threads so that may be helpful.

There are two tests, one application task and two analyses...I believe in that order (that's what my school did). You basically study for each SAC like you would any test, the only difference being the type of questions you practise.

For the test SACs which is probably your first one, the textbook is sufficient in providing the questions you need. There are usually no problem solving questions...generally just multiple choice and simple short answer (questions without words, drawing graphs etc). If you are eager to do more, there are always other textbooks. I also recommend asking your teacher for past SACs if they don't give them out to every student.

Awesome, thanks!
I'll definitely try and ask for past SACs. Thanks for your help :)
