Chemistry pracs are also 6/semester but they're not scheduled fortnightly. You might have one a week for a month then nothing for another month

edit, actually why the fuck do you voluntarily have an 8am tute?!

It is either that or do it on Tuesday, and that means ACTUALLY going to uni. :P

OR worse still, stay back and do a Chem Prac on Friday Arvos.

I live near the city, and am used to early-ish starts.

Still however, point taken.  :)

Just have to think of the sleep ins on Tuesday and Thursday haha.

Bio pracs in 1st year are every fortnight so you don't have it that bad

https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2011/BIOL10004 says 30hrs of prac per semester... is the handbook wrong?

They may have changed it but that includes prelabs and computer workshops which are done from home and are easy

Should i be happy with this?

Given that pracs won't be running every week, and i can skip the last lecture on friday (for whatever reason), is this decent?

Nah, Russ is right.  Check your weekly timetable and it alternates between Bio Prac and no Bio Prac each week.

Edit:  Chem Pracs appear to be weekly however.  meh.

Also, does anybody know if "generate clash free timetable" automatically overwrites any previous one? or does it give you a sample before confirming?

Hmm :/

On another note, is it true that there are unreleased classes yet? When in Feb are they released?

Probably when second round can enroll?  That would make sense I suppose...

Overwrites. Just use the individual subject change option to tweak whatever you have.

There are no unreleased classes. The times there are the only ones that will be available. But later in the month they will free up more spaces in each tute class, to give people who weren't around today to enroll

TUESDAY WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY NOONS OFF :P
FUCK YEAH TO BBQ'S N BEER.
Also, shame about early Friday lecture, I might not go home after clubs :P... just go straight to lecture lol!

(Image removed from quote.)

If you can be arsed getting up in the morning for those 9am classes, that's a ripper timetable. You really won't be...wait...are you only doing 3 subjects? lol

And mankay...that's horrible, sorry. :P Fortunately your Wednesday arvo classes are lectures, so they aren't attendance-based. You'd be shitting yourself when you realised how many events there are on Wednesdays if you'd scheduled a prac or something then. Same with Thursday, to a lesser extent. I have a prac Thursday arvo too, but I can't really help it. :(

Yeah, i had a feeling that might be the case :/ Not sure if i can do any better though. 3 of the subjects have annoying lectures times that either clash, go late, or are like they are now, so :(

Wondering if it would be worth starting again, or using the 'generate clash-free timetable' thing until it spits out something good...?

Unless your lectures have alternate streams (which I don't think they do) the only variation is in your tutes/pracs, which aren't the problem for you
