so apparently buying books from the uni book shop is more expensive..
so im trying to buy second hand books

and do you think it would make a difference if you bought a book in a different edition
or by a different publisher??
classic novels like jane eyre and frankenstein shouldn't matter right?
what about other type books, what do you guys reckon?

At UoM, I can say that 99% of the times it is fine.  In fact, some lecturers will actually give the page numbers for the required reading for multiple editions.

So I suppose it would be similar at Monash.

Should be fine because if you think about it, why would students be able to sell their books to other ppl?

Yeah, I've done a few comparisons myself and the things that usually change are the examples.  They update the examples make it more recent.

So overall, you'll be fine.

If you look hard enough you can usually find a decently priced 2nd hand version of the current edition on Monash market-place but maybe im doing really common subjects.
*Shrug*

They should go through all this during 1st week of classes.
