Hey, Just wanted your opinions of which books to buy and which old editions to stay away from

ENG1060    Recommended    ENG1060 Computing for Engineering (Custom Publication)
ENG1061    Prescribed    Engineering Your Future: An Australasian Guide + Ebook + Sustainability Supplement
ENG1080    Prescribed    College Physics: A Strategic Approach 2ed + Mastering Physics
ENG1091    Prescribed    Modern Engineering Mathematics 4ed + My Mathlab Value Pack (2011)

Also, any idea of the +s? Like My MathLab, mastering physics and sustainability supplement?

Appreciate your help!

Recommended books i've heard aren't even worth buying in almost all cases.

Can't give much more advice past the general stuff, your lecturers should go through it first week.

(Hey, i'm doing ENG1080 too, well its PHS1080 for me but im pretty sure its the same class)

Don't get any of those books. They provide you with lecture notes and practice questions that are sufficient to do well in.

Out of those, I did ENG1060 and ENG1080. Did not buy the book for either, went to very few lectures, did few practice problems for them and still scored an 89% and 91% respectively. ENG1080 is pretty easy if you've done Spesh and ENG1060 is really easy no matter what you've done

cool, looks like I won't be buying any books (Y), but I reckon I might get "Engineering your future" since I'm interested to find out more about the engineering profession

thanks!

No, what I meant was the Physics you do in ENG1080 is easier than the Physics you did in Spesh. There's no calculus involved at all
