What are you guys planning to sign up to? I went to Monash Sport looking for the golf club, and I was told, "There isn't enough interest, so we don't have one." A plea to anyone on this forum who plays golf to complain and ask them to make one.

Oh, and does anyone know what "Wargamers Massive" is? Sounded interesting.

Thanks to Assassins creed teaching me what "amici" means :P
I'm thinking I might join the Squash Club and the debating club thing.

Wargaming would be like Warhammer; table-top war-games.

Uhh do sports clubs count?

If so like kendo or taekwondo or something.

Maybe the guitar club or the video game club but they both sound kinda lame.

I wanted to join the guitar club as well, but as you mentioned "sound kinda lame." No idea if they would be worth it.

Serious attempts have already been made to create and maintain a Chess Club at Monash, but it hasn't been easy. There's already something called the Monash University Chess Association. It was deregistered by Monash Clubs & Societies (C&S) back in 2008 though due to an audit failure, and as a result it doesn't receive any advertising by Monash anymore.

You should get in contact with Linden Lyons (the president of MUCA) about any ideas or suggestions you may have at [email protected], rather than create a whole new club. I'm not sure if that email is still checked regularly but I can PM you his Monash email if you wish. He's really down-to-earth so I'm sure he won't mind hearing your ideas.

Ahhh, yes I used to play against him a very long time ago, I'll chuck him an email :)
