I'll try keep this brief.

I was planning to miss 2/3 physics classes i had and just listen to the recordings at home.

One starts at 8am (gotta wake up at like 5 to get there using public transport and stuff)
Another one was on the day that was meant to be my "day off"

I was just browsing through the monash portal and found the provisional list of lectures to be recorded on the portal and my lecture (PHS1080) wasn't on there.

If i don't show up will i totally miss out on everything?

(oh right wrong forum ill move it in the morning)

Depends on how hard the subject is, how good the textbook is, and how good the lecture slides are I guess. I only attended 3ish lectures the whole semester for one of my subs in semester 1 (and didn't watch any recordings), but it ended up being my highest subject. This was because the subject was easy (programming), the textbook was fairly decent, and the lecture was shit anyway.

For some reason I think Physics would be more difficult

agree. i did the same for chemistry in 1st yr (maybe went to a few more and listened to a few of them) and it was my highest score lol but thats cause i still had vce knowledge of it
but i would try to go if you can, just wait until closer to the uni start, it should be added

Physics lectures are useless anyway, especially first year. The general quality of the lectures is also pretty shit so you won't be missing out on anything if you don't go.

I didn't go to macroeconomics lectures, or listen to the recordings, and I still did okay, but I wouldn't recommend it. There are definitely better ways to learn, but the textbook covered what I needed. That being said, the lecturer wrote the textbook, so the course was exactly the same as the textbook. Might not be the case for you..
