LMS Subjects for Semester 1 2011 Are Up

The Learning Management System (LMS) is now running.  The subjects are up.

Just briefly the LMS is an integral part of your academic life.  Here you will find lecture slides, subject information, practice exams (if applicable), assignments, subject announcements and even use to hand in assignments, etc.

So as you can see, it'd be wise to bookmark the link.

Right now because it's only the first day, you might find that some subjects have nothing in them and that's still normal.  Just need to wait until the  subject coordinator publishes something.

Hmm, Calculus 1 isn't showing up for me yet.

Yeah mine says I'm in Calculus 2 even though I swapped out of that last month. Might have to submit a helpdesk request if that doesn't change in a couple of days.

Don't worry about what does and doesn't show up on the LMS; it can always be relied upon to show a completely random selection of subjects you have done, are doing and haven't even considered between semesters. It will probably have the right subjects by the time classes start, though. Mine is currently showing two different Japanese 2A classes, a mate has four extra subjects on his from two years ago and another guy I met is apparently the teacher of a class he has never even heard of (can set assignments, etc, haha)

In order to pass this subject, you will need to work consistently all through the semester. A last minute attempt to master the information presented, before either the mid- or end-of-semester exams will not deliver success.

Mine is showing my summer subject and Calculus 1 - a subject all the way from first year, first semester.

It's fine for me.  But you'll come to know that the student portal is most buggiest piece of "software" that you'll come across at uni.  It takes first prize.  Just give it a few minutes or hours and it'll be fine.

haha yea I did find that to be true with the portal But it's working now, thanks.

I've never had any serious issues with the portal. It won't load if you close it without logging out and try to open it again, but that's solved by always logging out.

I like that different faculties have different LMS colours.

As my LMS, it's completely screwed up I dropped a subject and added a new one, so 24 hours later, instead of removing the old LMS subject with the new one, it drops a completely unrelated one, leaving me with 2 of my actual subjects and 1 dropped LOL.
