I think brendan would do a decent job of Legal Studies, except that he hasn't taken the VCE subject, but he is great with providing resources for economics and law, haha.

Lol I was actually going to mention you Brendan but then didn't know whether you had done legal studies (even though you're doing law). I don't know if that disadvantages you with moderating the subject because it is so rigorously structured around the study design.

But yeh trust me. I have a lot of respect for you and also think you would do a great job on legal mod :D

Ooh, ooh, then can you convince the site owners to convert this forum to SMF? Because SMF is awesome (and I'm on the SMF team) :D

Because phpBB sucks :P
Except for this smiley, it's the only good feature:

LOL, I'm really a vBulletin man - easy to install, administer (I adminster a private vBulletin forum) and lots of users are familiar with it. You'd have to sell SMF to me :P

I don't wanna lose all the forum info, though. I'm considering upgrading to phpBB3. It's so good! It doesn't even LOOK like phpBB anymore. Zomg I had an orgasm when a friend showed me it. So, yeah, November 26th is upgrade day and we'll see how we like it. If it gets the nod, I'll upload many hacks and mods to improve the functionality of the forum.

It is not good.
And SMF has a database converter. If you're willing to give me a database backup, I'll get a beta SMF-powered forum up, and all data will remain intact (even groups and stuff).
And also, if you use SMF, I can write custom mods for you. I'm on the customisation team and know its code inside out :D

SMF has a package manager - You don't need to install mods manually.
Example of its use (my SMFShop mod's installation instructions): http://www.dansoftaustralia.net/smfshop_wiki/Installation :D

To add to my last post (grrr, why no editing in this board? O.o):
Quote

Take a look through the feature list and you'll see many unique features: http://www.simplemachines.org/about/features.php :)
My site (www.daniel15.com) is powered by SMF's SSI features. SMF's SSI features are quite powerful, and allow you to embed forum information in a website (take a look at http://www.simplemachines.org/community/ssi_examples.php for example).

With SMF, you could have a user login system on the FreeStudyNotes site, and have it use SMF logins. Take a look at http://www.dynamic-sig.com/ - Basically the whole site is powered by SMF. :D

I'm the type of person who always edits their posts to add extra stuff... I can't live without an "Edit" feature enabled in a board :P

SMF does look like a classy option. I'm over phpBB these days, I used to think it was the 'bee's knees' (in the words of Jack Black) but there are so many good packages like SMF that would be very nice.

T-Up from me Daniel (dota nerds would get that).
