how do you do question 8b.? haha

I'm 99.9% sure the question was something like:
3f(x-1)+2      (and They told you that f(x) = sin(2π/3)    (the 'π' is supposed to be pi)

Because it was a sin function, i said that its a maximum when f(x-1) = 1

To simplify things, i let a = x-1
So...
f(a) = 1
sin (2πa/3) = 1
2πa/3 = π/2
2πa = 3π/2
a = 3/4

Therefore, a = x - 1
             3/4 = x - 1
             7/4 = x

hmm what i did was g(x) = f(x-1)[/i]+2

put in the values, derived the function and made it = 0 since it was a maximum and tried to solve from there..

I did horribly but by the sounds of it, my entire class did bad. Only two or three students said it was easy.
I will get lots of consequential marks because I did the right working out but got wrong ansers and stupid me put 4/16 instead of 5/16 for the coffee question GRR!

You never know, nice examiners may give you 2/2 if they understand where you are coming from..(One of my friends did a whole page, with a table and perfect working but put 3/16 instead of 5/16)
oping for an ENTER of 99+

Well, I think many examiners are nice.

I'm sure I put a double bond where a single bond (or no bond) was required for chemistry. It was a tiny error, but an error nonetheless, and I got full marks for it.

Oh, and I also labelled the state of H2SO4 as (l) instead of (aq) as was in the examiners report and got the mark!

Apart from the probability questions, I think overall it was a really good exam. The probability really came out of left wing. The rest of it was okay though. I know I stuffed up quite a few things in minor ways probably (I was VERY stretched for time, I barely finished), but I should be able to get most of the marks available for the questions where I actually knew what I was doing, lol.

Can someone tell me how many marks each question was worth so I can figure out how many marks I lost?

If that is the only place you lost marks, then you can still get a 50.
