What are your study/VCE success techniques?

I'm thinking...

Have a book for each subject (or would a binder with looseleaf be better? what do you think?)
At the end of each day, spend 10mins trying to summarize all the content covered in that day into your book

And of course doing questions, marking, noting which ones were wrong and doing them again.

if u have  a search there is a million of threads on this...

however, i find i have a book for each subject, in a binder folder with plastic pockets thsat i slip handouts into....

i just read over what i do each day for about 10 mins only for the classes i had that day...
seems to be working
constant light revision (15-30mins) a day each subject possibly i thinkwork better then cramming 3 hours before a SAC

figured there would be, was mainly wondering if my idea was reasonable

and also whether a binder book or exercise book would be better

vce sucks. high school sucks.
do something that you have fun doing. be good at it. be professional at it. get a hobby for a job.

vce is over-hyped and runs for an obscene amount of time. you are tested on shit you dont give a fuck about.

unfortunately its the only PATHWAY to a proper education.

If you can keep it up, then go ahead. Use a five subject notebook, i think that should be enough.

Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

OP did not ask for your opinion about VCE. If you want to bitch about it, start your own thread and loose the f-bombs. VN is created to help students to succeed in VCE, don't take it out to vent your frustration or feud with VCE just because you have had a bad experience with it. Be thankful that you are in a country that offers education, and spare a thought for those disadvantaged people around the country/world who would give up anything to have the opportunity to be educated. Besides, what makes a good education can only be decided by that individual him/herself, going through Tafe, VCAL or IB are many ways in which people can set themselves up for a future, be that through a more academic-focused or a practical/hands-on education. There's nothing such as a 'proper' education. Just because VCE is one of the more common ways in getting educated doesn't necessarily mean you have to take that road- man up, grow some balls and choose the education that suits you. After all, isn't that what you were essentially trying to promote?

To the OP - Are you the note taking and summary making type? Or do you just focus on repetition and doing a lot of questions, questions and questions?

Whichever is your type of study method, I would go for whatever suits you. I tried to adapt to the note taking and summaries but in the end, I found they were useless as I didn't really read them at all. But for me, I practise to the point where something has become an automatic process
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

I like how you tell me to stay on topic. Then start discussing the slightly off-topic points I raised...
I felt what I had to say was relevant (in hindsight, loosely :P ) I dont need a non-moderator with a wank avatar telling me how to use a forum.

I did not discuss your slightly off topic points. And trust me, they are not slightly off topic. I just showed how irrelevant it was to OP's post and how useless such posts are to the VN community. Just because you can't argue point by point doesn't mean you have to  resort to sexualizing someone's avatar, or pick on the online status (reason why the karma thing was scrapped, to hopefully prevent jerk-like comments made by people such as yourself.

Physics, stop creating trouble. There is more than one use for this forum. You have made some fair points but this is the second thread you have been part of the derailing of, and you seem to have taken your dislike for Visionz into this one.

Also, Visionz, tone it down a bit.

Take it to PM.
