12GB ram is beyond a bit excessive lol

Quote
believe or not, this saves you heaps.
my computer is meant to be doubled price if you buy it directly from famous companies

Now I'm curious, find me an offer for a PC with 12GB ram and an eight core CPU for 2 grand.

Btw guys.
RAM/CPU doesn't have such huge impact on gaming; it's mostly the GPU (graphics card).

If you're a normal VCE student who uses VN, FB (if you can control yourself), msn, PDF's, music, videos..
Then 12gbs of ram is so dumb, even 6 is a bit excessive. An 8 core CPU (I didn't even know these were invented, gosh im behind) is definitely over the top.
Overall, this guy seems lulz.

But yes, DXDIAG BOOOOOI.
If you don't know how to do it == ..
XP: Start -> Run -> type in 'dxdiag' without the ' and print screen the first slide/page.
Vista: Start -> Type in 'dxdiag' in the search box thing.

errrrrrr I have no idea why are you guys still so frustrate about the hardware which I have brought

well, as you wish, heres the mystrical screen shoot that you are so wanting to see.

its either I misunderstand the idea of 8 CPUs = 8 cores or you guys are just been way too behind in tech.

seriously, that I can not explian any more simpler.

its 1000AUD (maybe less than 1000 in the next few weeks)

12G ram and 8 CPUs computer, thats what you will be getting for standard computer. <full stop)

Gezzz, you guys better not lead this topic off any further...

lol no you've misunderstood it, you have a quad core computer with 8 CPUs. 8 Core computers would be going for around 15k+

The fuck is everyone being so bitchy about it? the guy made a mistake... shit happens.

This is how I see it.

asterio bought a decent motherboard, which supports dual tri-channel RAM. So he decided to fill all 6 slots with 2Gb and now has too much RAM for his own good.

asterio then bought a quad core i7 which hyperthreads to 8 cores.

asterio then decided to install x86 on his modern gear.

asterio, I salute you. :P

But not to point out the obvious or anything, it's not like any of us don't run pirated copies of W7 or anything, right?

Mao miao: My copy's legit :)

Go free, MSDN AA copy from eng labs :D

Asterio, you may have to suck it up and buy the student version of windows 7. I had to do that for MS Office and got the entire package for $99 because of the student offer.

It does if you play football manager. That shit is CPU rape.

If you come to Monash one day (except weekends and fridays), I will be more than happy to let you use my account to download win7 64 bit to your hard drive.

It's free under MSDNAA at Monash. No idea about Melbourne
