Portal Problems

Is anyone else unable to open the student portal, and has been for the last couple of days? When I enter my username and password, a weird error message comes up. I need to check because I got an email regarding a timetable change notification, but the email didn't have any more info ie which subject was changing unlike previous emails I have got regarding timetables.

Cheers

Mine hasn't been working either. I'm already frustrated with it and I've only been using it for a week! I can't even imagine how much the older students must hate it.

Although I've discovered you can log in to the lms ( http://www.lms.unimelb.edu.au/login/ ) without logging into your portal. Which is helpful.
The dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.

Yeah me too, managed to find a link to the student email as well just by googling it. Just want to be able to check my timetable though to see if the email was right; after checking LMS though there haven't been any announcements of a timetable change so I'm assuming the email is incorrect.

Does the error message come up in a pink box? Try clearing your browser history before accessing the portal again, that usually works for me.

90% of portal problems can be solved by clearing your cache.
(100% of portal problems can be solved by not using it and going to the appropriate subdomains..webmail/lms/sis etc)

This massive link leads you to the Gmail login page.

EDIT: And a tip:

If you are looking for UoM webpages on Google, an easy way to make sure that you get a UoM website is to put "Unimelb" at the end of your search.

Much shorter link :P (https://mail.google.com/a/student.unimelb.edu.au/)

If you want to sign up: https://transition.studentemail.unimelb.edu.au/

But when you click on it, it becomes massive again.  T_T

Thanks guys, clearing history doesn't seem to be working for me though, might just give it a day or so to see if it fixes itself lulz.

Anyone know how to access your timetable without going through the portal, can't seem to find a way to access it without the portal?
