Please Check:

So with the beetroot set up, we have isotonic, vinegar and detergent.

Isotonic -> no effect
Vinegar -> Leaking pigment, due to denatured proteins
Detergent -> Leaking pigment because of phospholipid bilayer emulsification (micelle disruption.)

More damage is done to the cell through the use of detergent as it completely disrupts the membrane whereas the vinegar only denatures surface proteins, but maintains the semi permeable membrane.

Is this correct?
