Actually, there's a couple there from when you were a mod, werdna! I just noticed! We got bored of making "serious" threads after a while, and just copied some across from the real moderator board. It was really only fun making the bullshit threads.

I got bored of that quickly because I thought they were too obvious and everyone would pick up on it.

If every thread was over the top then yeah people probably would have picked up on it fast. We made a couple of fake "real" threads as well iirc.

so you study philosophy for the sake of it? you don't intend to use it to improve one's self?

Well, I don't want to derail this thread too much, but if you study philosophy you realise pretty quickly that the idea of 'improving yourself' is complicated and sometimes problematic. If there were easy answers for moral improvement and so on, it wouldn't be a particularly interesting field.
