Ideas for issues oral?

Initially, I was thinking of addressing the idea of bullying(maybe cyber-bullying) prevalent throughout society; not only in primary school/high school education, but also in regards to adults in the workplace and such.

I brought up the idea of bullying in school with my teacher but she said something about how I would have to consider the parents, schools and governments... so I'm not really sure.

I had a burst of inspiration from hearing about the issue of Casey Heynes vs Ritchard Gale though, however I'm not allowed to show the video, though I will be allowed to show pictures and such.

Any ideas whether this topic would be good or not? :\

If not, then would anyone else be keen to suggest any ideas? (I was thinking maybe urban sprawl as well?)

Thanks!

See this. Is this going to be a popular topic though? I can imagine a lot of people doing it. Following the masses has its pros and cons I guess.

I know one of my friends in the class wants to do cyberbullying, but not sure about the rest. :\
I was just thinking I could centralise a lot on emotional appeal and such, focussing on teenage depression, suicides etc!

I'm actually presenting my oral tomorrow on Bullying
Here's what I plan on doing tomorrow
- Talking about the forms of bullying
- Why do people bully
- Disturbing facts about bullying
- How does it impact the victims
    - Brodie Panlock, I suggest you research about her, it's pretty bad :/
    - Casey Hynes
- Cyber Bullying and social networking
- Closing statement

My speech most likely isn't that strong, but these are just some points that could possibly help you

Approved, but also agree with your teacher - you're not going to get a very thorough case unless you involve all agents possible.

Alternatively, wikileaks, Libya and nuclear power are pretty topical at the moment.

Hmmm, how would I go about involving the government and schools as such? What sort of contention could I hold? :\ Have to submit a plan by this Friday haha ><!
