I play League of Legends, which I said before... I usually limit myself to a game a night, right after everything has been done. It works well. I also play elite-level Ragnarok Online in a top-tier guild, and that's harder to step away from than anything else...

Why did I downvote your post? Because, simply based on the secondary use of the word "can" as a verb makes it into a synonym for "may"; that is, you've basically asked the question he asked. Which is no help. Semantics, semantics...
Anyway, as for whether or not it is wise, it probably isn't worth sacrificing study or anything for games. But, it's impossible to cut out something you enjoy fully without finding detrimental effects in other areas of your life.
