Do the stalls run out of things quickly? I'd hate to go all the way to Caulfield (west sider) and miss out on lectures and stuff because it was full/ran out ..

Just plan ahead.  Go there when it opens, go to the VCAA stall to grab your exam papers and stroll around until your desired lecture comes on.  Just make sure you get there early enough if you want a seat.

Unless there's going to be a shit load of helpful notes being given out, I can honestly see it as being a waste of a day.

Does the VCAA stall just have leftover exam papers from the year before? Does it have papers that go back any other years? :S

It's just the year before.  So for you guys, 2010.  Not all subjects will be there - only the main ones.  So very few (if any) LOTE ones.  I can't really remember if LOTE ones were there.  But your Englishes, sciences and maths are certainly there.

I did grab a few Vietnamese papers last year for a friend. Might be a few LOTE exams. But definitely only last years exams that were leftover.

EDIT: Oh, and you have to be quick if you want to get your hands on the popular ones (e.g. English).

I thought the day was good. I didn't get any freebies from the ATARNotes stall.  =[ The stall is small-ish. Good to see members of the mod team IRL though. The seminars that I went to were decent, but packed. Yeh, the popular exam papers run out really quickly. When I got there about 1 pm, most of the mainstream subjects were gone. D= To maximise your time, get there early for exam papers and freebies.
