Overcoming distractions (facebook)

How are people getting around distractions such as facebook, I have tried repeatedly but I just end up re-activating... also tried changing my password to something ridiculous that I can't remember and I just end up resetting it haha.
So does anyone have any tips on overcoming this, anything worked for someone else?

Get a family member to chane your password or put that thing on your computer where you can only use it i certain times or block facebook on your computer and ask your parents if you can use theirs to go on facebook. Or just learn to resist the urge.

Try actually deleting facebook. It worked for a month, then i remade my account.
Or make yourself too busy to go on facebook - have other things to do.

The app, at least for google chrome, is called "StayFocusd".

Firefox has leechblock but you should ask yourself if you actually need your PC to study

You can delete everyone from your news feed so you don't have anything to feed temptation (sort of). Worked for me.

It's not a program. It's on all computers. You can set this thing on to not let you use your computer at certain times. It's in parental controls and its this thing that says time controls or something.

You make another user and get someone to change admin password.
And if you stop posting things on facebook you won't get as many notifications. It's what I did.
