Rank 1 gets the top exam result from their cohort. So if they get 100% on the exam, there will be nothing stopping them from getting a 50.

IF they get 20/100 on the exam, and someone ranked below gets 100/100 on the exam, they end up with a total 120/200
when you say 20/100, have you converted this to percent?
The english exam is out of 30 altogether, correct?
Also, is it true that there are lows and highs?
E.g a high 9 over a low 9?

all 9s are equal and all 6s and 5s etc. But not all As or A+s or Bs or Cs are equal.

^ Exam markers can only give a whole number as a mark (i.e. 8, 9, etc.) but the exam is marked at least twice so if one assessor gives you 9 and the other 10 you effectively have a "high 9" although I've never heard that term before.

I thought that would have just been 19/20. There aren't high 9s or low 9s...
