Last year they used a new UMAT scoring formula called the "overall score". No-one knows how it's calculated as ACER won't release that sort of information, but it's sort of an average of your 3 sections. Monash uses this score, last year the cut-off as Ninwa says was 59

ninwa, (if you don't mind me asking) what kind of percentiles did you get to be at last year's cut-off score for interviews?
good question :P
I THINK it was something like, s1 92, s2 90, s3 85 (I fail at this section). I know I didn't get anything higher than 92 lol

Thanks ninwa.

I would consider them really good percentiles.

Actually, I'm a little worried about this year, if you needed 267 (sum) to be at cut-off for last year.  :o
In the past I heard 230-240%ile for Monash.

Is it 'easy' to achieve those kinds of percentiles (or raw scores). Like do you know what kind of actual scores (last year) would have coressponded to those percentiles. (ballpark)

Seems pretty tough atm...

Thanks.

Nobody knows what their "scores" were, or what each section was out of. ACER are a secretive bunch ><

You just get your percentiles and an overall score (e.g. 59).

I would say it's not too hard to get my scores - like I've said heaps of times before I got those scores having literally guessed around 45% of the questions because I ran out of time. If you keep your head with you and work through the questions steadily and get them done I don't see why you couldn't get a much better score than me, although yes, the Monash medicine cutoff is gonna increase this year because I think Monash is now the only (decent) uni in Victoria that offers undergraduate medicine = tough competition.

EDIT: actually now that I come to think of it ... I don't think I got anything higher than 90 lol

There's no minimum ENTER, they take into account your UMAT score and interview score as well

min UMAT score to get an interview changes every year. Last year it was 59, this year will probably be higher because all the people who were going to go for UoM med now have to come to Monash, therefore higher competition
59 refers to the raw score.

u mean 259?
