you must of stuffed up in the interview/umat??
It's best to be polite when asking questions of posters, and be aware that "stuffing up" is not so eaily defined.
The criteria process is not always fixed with arbitrary cut offs (with exception of the UMAT), and different entry schemes require different scores. Also any scores relevant to last years entry may not be applicable this year as there is no Umelb undergrad course. Entry into the Monash course will be more more competitive and therefore more difficult. Succinctly put, no-one really knows what these scores will be, so just focus on doing the best you can.
From anecdotal experience of many in my cohort, the interview was the criteria that alot felt clinched their spot. It's also the general concensus that everyone who gets in, deseves to be there, meaning that they communicated a genuine desire to be in the course as they had a passion for medicine and helping people. My advice is to ask yourself if you have these desires, i've heard stories of people freezing up when asked "why do you want to do medicine?".
Many prospective med students have asked me "what did you say?". If you are asking this sorts of questions, then you should seriously consider your future.
