Connect Education is a new group running revision lectures for unit 3 - run by high-achieving students at a very affordable price. Only $26 for 4 hours. We believe that students, who sat the exams themselves, are capable of giving valuable insight and advice, especially on how to answer VCAA questions.

sam.utute, lexitu and I have banded together to run lectures now and at the end of the year.

4 hour lectures (at RMIT university and Queen's College at Melbourne University) aim to cover the most vital parts of the course, give advice on how to ace the exam and of course run through examples of important and challenging questions. Sam is running the accounting lectures and I am running the Biology and Chemistry lectures - we look forward to meeting you on the day. There are only 50 seats for each lecture, and they are running on the 4th and 5th of June.

All details can be found at www.connecteducation.com.au and questions can of course be pmed or emailed to [email protected] :)

Eddie :)

Yep, although this idea was conceived well before we realised that PTG would be losing customers.

Very interested in the accounting lecture!
The notes are awesome (a sample can be downloaded from the website) :)

What's happening with the English tutoring? It's listed under Subjects but I'm not sure what the arrangements are :S Thanks!!

Do you mean lectures? Our English lectures will commence during the winter and spring holiday periods. We have an awesome lineup of lecturers but the finer details are being worked out. Our focus right now is delivering for the mid-year exams. As for tutoring, each lecturer is a tutor so you're more than welcome to seek their services :)

In 100% honesty I think that you should probably have skipped on the unit 3 lectures, there are 4 weeks to go, most students have booked their lectures, and a lot of people will not want to go so close to the exam.

A poor turnout for unit 3 could leave you fellas financially crippled (I'm not too sure what your financial capital is), and possibly worse off for preparing unit 3/4 (or unit 4) lectures at the end of the year. That said, if you guys think you can do some serious marketing/promotion over the next few weeks, or have already done so, it's definitely something that you can succeed with.

That said, loving the website design, the lecturer lineup, and the price! Definitely something that you students out there should hop onto.
vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.

Thanks taiga :) Father enwiabe actually said something very similar to us when we met up after the VCE and Careers Expo. It's definitely valid and we're admittedly rushed in our marketing and that sort of thing. We've given ourself a smaller crowd due to our lateness but having said this our current excitement might have faded if we held off. Also, Sam already has a set of notes prepared and Eddie being the genius (no connotations intended :P) that he is can organise some notes pretty quickly. Our venues haven't set us back too much so we're not going to be left poor. The main issue is the marketing so we really have to get cracking. You're pretty spot on with your critique, we weighed up the positives and negatives and our enthusiasm probably pushed us into launching now :)

Methods and Spesh are coming for sure :) The subjects there are only from the lecturers we've signed up (informally) so far. Speaking of which, would you like to do Maths? You're more than welcome to. PM me if you'd like to or would know anyone :D

Ahh I see. But I wasn't meaning that.

To be honest there are other people more qualified [and I think I would most likely make a terrible lecturer :P ].

Interesting thought though.

I think you hold these values? Maybe add sarcasm to it and you've got yourself a lecturer :P
