that's cos the KLD program isn't aimed at bringing together the academically most gifted VCE students, you could be as smart as ahmad and still not get in if you don't have all the other "skills" that they look for

the skill to listen to and believe a marketing campaign? :P

there are many KLDers around here, but that doesn't signify much. a lot of them aren't active posters, and then there's those who don't really care.
I, for one, am amongst the many who are current KLD'ers. there's an old thread on it somewhere...

and on that note, Monash uni last year also started the Hi 5 program in Berwick campus for a similar purpose

both are similar: the freebies (esp the food) are good, the rest can be summed up by the word "meh" :P

that might be a highlight

as for the rest, I distinctly remember counting the number of times this speaker said "I" in her motivational speech about surviving year 12.
it was over 150 xD

pretty boring, huh!

Seriously just about every past yr 12 talks crap about how "little" work they did in yr 12, they shud just stop hiring these ppl ( OK not every1)  becuz ppl get lulled into a false sense of security that yr 12 is an easy yr to excel.

I wud find the fairly "low achieving" students more helpful, bcuz they would probably descrive the same work ethic as the high achiever, (like enwiabe) and atleast they would say they did shit at the end of it, so atleast we wud be alarmed to do well, and not be misled into thinking that u dont have to do that much to do well....

Thats just my view.....

I was a KLD scholar in year 12. The day it became all worthwhile was Open Day :)

it's very sad that some people are so ungrateful about getting into the program, when i know people would've killed to get in

I was a KLD scholar in year 12. The day it became all worthwhile was Open Day :)

looking foward to that, i accidently walked into the KLD lounge last year and got a bit of a glimpse lol
