Just a few questions from a friend re: applying for special provision

How do you apply for it?
What do you need to do?
Is it too late to apply?

Thanks :)

SEAS or AEA?

SEAS you can apply for through VTAC at the end of the year
AEA I got in mid April but it's probably available now if it's a new problem

SEAS is for uni applications no?

The friend wants like... a special consideration sort of thing. For exams and study scores and stuff. :S neither of us know what it's called

Then they'd need to apply under SEAS. Plus Derived Examination Scores (DES) if necessary.

If it's for study scores/exam, wouldn't special consideration be given if she had like..a medical condition. otherwise if it's not that, then the only thing I can think of derive score.
Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

For special consideration for exams and SACs you need to see staff at your school. There should be some sort of disability support person at your school, they're the person to see. They have forms that need to be filled out and you might need to do some short timed essays to prove your case.
If you get special consideration you can't get a Derived Exam Score for the same reason.

That sounds like AEA (Alternate Exam Arrangements, no idea if it's the VCAA acronym but it's what uni uses). From what I had to go through, the VCAA will not provide you with a bonus to your study score - you have to submit a SEAS application alongside it to be considered.

They will provide you with anything you need to sit exams/SACS fairly though - extra writing time, computer, rest breaks etc.

That's right, there is no bonus for study scores, just extra time, rest breaks, computer use etc. in exams and SACs.
