So 3 essays in 3 hours is a bit of a struggle for me.

Any tips and strategies on writting one essay per hour.
How much do we need to write per essay?

We've had practice mini english exams and i have spent way too much time on my language analysis and then had to scribble a short essay for text response!!!
I DO NOT WANT TO BE IN THAT SITUATION WHEN THE REAL EXAM COMES ALONG!

And also in a couple of weeks i have another practice english exam, i dont want to stuff it up. How do all of you do it?

This is going to be shit advice but... keep practicing and practice the three hours. It took me about 4 practices to feel in anyway comfortable with the time slot but I think it's necessary to do this so you habituate to it eventually. And when the exam comes along you'll likely be fuelled by the need to write. I'm a really slow writer, but on exam day I wrote more than I'd ever written before.

This is so true, happens to me in all Lit and English SAC's. I write a fair chunk and take my time to do it outside of the exam situation, but the pressure and anxiety in the exam forces you to write. Practise a few times, all I can recommend.

Practice makes perfect!

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

Don't allocate the same amount of time per essay - try to finish language anaysis in 50 minutes, even...

Like the others said, I think that if you're writing barely on 60 mins generally at home, that should be okay. Exam time stresses you out like you wouldn't believe and you just don't stop writing.

P.S
I will not post anymore on VN..I quite like the number of posts I have now :P

I had the same problem last year..took me the second half of the year to really start writing in one hour.

Advise: practice writing under one hour slots..one essay each, then once you get in the habit you can do two, then three..though that will near your exams.

Also how fast you write also depends on how well you know what to write, I am slow writer, but as I got used to sitting under one hour slots I started to get faster, one reason also because I was regurgitating what I was writing before...

And if it's your first time, don't worry too much, you still have plenty of time to work on it
Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.
