Yeah I forgot about GEMSAS, because it's new, but they don't make up results for semester 2 afaik

@Elnino, we were talking specifically about medicine. Link me to the page where it says that for eng, I always thought it was 65%
http://www.eng.unimelb.edu.au/Postgrad/master-of-engineering/me_mechatronics.html

Admission to the Master of Engineering (ME) requires at least 65% GPA in the final two years of undergraduate study.

So what does this mean?

I was wondering....even though im not from Uom wether u guys get like HDs on ur essays because I got a PA and I was pretty upset and then I got a credit which is apparently good but then our credit is a 50-64%... I was wondering if it is harder to get a good score at Uom or is it the same everywhere??? :(

It is hard to say.

It would depend on the difficulty of the assessment, the strength of the cohort and whether or not it is scaled/marked on a bell curve I guess.

P.S.  Aww, no more 'trail exams'  :p

When i got my essay back with a PA (PASS) it means that I am average (according to what i know) but that would mean that 1 half got HD and Ds and the others got FAILS??  I guess it will always depend on the cohort huh?!

P.S: I can hellp it! SHUSH! 'Trail exams' are aweesomeeeeee. maybe thats why I got a low ATAR T___T because I cant spell trail properly

If you're in first year (especially first semester) it's not uncommon for essays to be marked in a way that's different to high school (ie harder). Your marks should improve next semester. At the end of the day, it's also just subjective...had a tutor this semester who only gave one H1 per class for some...strange...reason

Admission to the Master of Engineering (ME) requires at least 65% GPA in the final two years of undergraduate study.

So what does this mean?

Call your faculty if you want to be sure, but I'm pretty certain it's just a different meaning for GPA and it's a 65% average

Was this Global Health? I also heard they marked harshly. Maybe because it's a third year subject. Are uni breadths marked on a bell curve?

Just wondering - in terms of GPA, if we do a diploma alongside our degree, do our marks in the diploma contribute to our overall GPA for our Bachelor, or is it separate?
I thought it would be separate but I am not certain.
