SAC Standardisation

I know similar topics to this one have been done before, but after pouring through them, i'm still very confused with the SAC standardization.

Do Individual exam marks Individually standardize your SAC marks?

I am not sure which of the following scenarios exist

1) SAC results are standardised by
cohort GAT results (small amount)
cohort exam results (large amount)

2) standardised by

cohort GAT results (small amount)
cohort exam results (large amount)
Individual exam results

?
In other words, is my rank in the cohort set? or can it fluctuate due to factors other than SACs such as exams

also someone said standardisation between teachers occurs but i am / was fairly sure this is not the case?

Thanks for responses in advance

I think that your internal school ranking due to SACS cannot change (so in other words, if you have the second-best SAC score at your school, you can never attain a higher SAC score than that of the highest-ranked person at your school, no matter how your school's scores are moderated. (so, Scenario 1 in your post)

i am certain that standardisation between teachers does not occur because you are all doing the same SAC.

how i about i throw my own question in the mix.
Are the SAC results standardised as an average of your results compared to the rest of the cohort?
Eg. You average a C in Chem, The cohort average is a B+. Will your average SAC mark change perhaps into a C+ or B?

It all depends on your cohorts' performance in the exam. If everyone does well (e.g. A average) then the chances are that your C will be moderated up.

Your cohort's performance in the exam is extremely important.
After experience with Chinese last year I know this to be the case. For example, even if you get a slightly higher exam score than another person (say 90% compared to 85%) and you full mark all your SACs while he loses a few marks here, he may have a better cohort that does better than your cohort in the exam and as a result he actually gets a higher study score than you.

My SAC marks for unit 3 and 4 in health were the fourth highest in the cohort, but i received the highest study score for health in the year level..

I think it's possible to have the highest study score in the year level, even if your SAC scores are not the highest, because you might still do better in the exams than the people ranked ahead of you.

As an example, let's say you're the fourth rank in your year level in terms of SACs, but you do better in the exams than the three people ranked ahead of you. They will end up with a better SAC mark than you, but your superior exam performance may give you a higher combined (SAC + exam) score, and so give you a higher study score in the end.
